We were travelling from Victoria (Swartz Bay) to Vancouver (Tsawwassen) when this view of the little gulf islands juxtaposed against the Coastal Mountains appeared. We rarely experience days like this in February here on the "Wet Coast," - but this proves they happen. Here, we're looking at an infrared photograph that shows the sky as thick and overcast, but the sun dancing over the water in the foreground clearly shows we were on a sunny break. My heart was indeed glad when I took this picture on my newly converted Canon 5D - after all, the sun shone through! This image has such a bright and airy feel that it makes me happy to look at it no matter what the weather outside.
