Wildfires are becoming more frequent and more severe as climate change continues. The forest fires in 2015 were horrible, and the smoke from most of the fires raging in the interior of British Columbia fed its way down through the river valleys and eventually arrived on the coast where I live. This photo was taken about an hour after sunrise, and the light took on an eerie reddish cast across the landscape. It is sad that a devastating event like wildfire hundreds of miles away can create such a tragically beautiful scene like this,
