This is a faux-colour infrared picture taken with my infrared-modified camera. Shingle Beach is a picturesque Forestry Campground about three-quarters of the way down Texada Island on the West side, about 40 minutes from Gillies Bay. It is a favourite spot for many Texadans because it is rarely crowded and relatively remote. The scenery is unspoiled, and the beaches are covered with black pebbles that are smoothed out by the tide.
