The Van Anda Cove wharf has a long and storied history. The first wharf was built at the end of the 19th century to allow steamers to dock at Texada Island to load up with gold and copper ore mined on our island. This picture results from a relatively long exposure at 15 seconds – I used a 3-stop neutral density filter, which made the water as flat as a sheet of glass.
